| This is the 3rd linksys wireless PCI card I have purchased (2 of which are this model, the WMP54G). I have gotten tremendous reception on both (one is on my desktop on the 2nd floor of my house and this latest one is on a desktop in my basement... the access point is on the 1st level of our house. |

Great Product for windows XP |
I recently installed this wireless adapter on my AMD system with Windows XP to replace a new Netgear wireless card that would not work. This card is super easy to install! Just put the card in a pci slot, turn on the computer, and install the drivers included on a cd, and your done (at least with Win XP, there is separate installation instructions for other operating systems). It took me under 10 minutes to get on the internet.
I have not had one disconnect or any type of problem from this card. It is very fast and was a bargain for 40 bucks after mail in rebates. One thing I love about this wireless card is that it has an over-sized antenna. It is about twice the size of my Netgear wireless card and its gets a lot better reception than that card. It looks like this card may have problems on other operating systems, but I can attest that it works great on Win XP. |

Software Uninstall Requires Professional Help! |
| If for any reason the user would like to uninstall the admin and driver software (Install Software from product CD) that which supports Linksys G series products, it would be beyond a simple wizard uninstall. That is, in some cases, the user may require skills editing the Windows Registry (it's very dangerous to delete Windows registry keys and values). |
