Try before you buy!

The fit of this head phone is a little different than others that I have used. As you can see from the picture, it hangs over your ear. It does not fit very tightly against your ear. That lets the noise around me mingle with the earbud's sound so it is not very clear. The volume control you see in the photo can be used to increase the volume in the ear piece. The result for me was to make the sound louder but not more clear. The loose dangley fit never seemed comfortable to me.

The sound listeners hear coming from the microphone can be adjusted by sliding a micro switch to one of three levels. The highest level is not adequate for some phones and people I called had trouble hearing what I was saying. You need to try this headset with the phone you want to use it with. It will work well with some but not with others. You may want to consider the return policy of the seller and the shipping charges involved.

Excellent

This is an excellent headset. I do believe the quality of it depends on the quality of your phone too, as one reviewer said before me. On all my new'ish cell phones and home phones it has worked awesome, but a little lack-luster on an older portable phone.

This website has ALL replacement parts.. for $10 I got 10 of those black ear sponges, another metal ear clip, 4 rubber ear sponges, and a bit more in a replacement part package. Oh, that includes shipping.

My experience with plantronics has always been the best... This headset (after testing $50 and even $100 sets from my office) still runs on par with them, keeping plantronics high in my book. I would also recommend the plantronics audio 90 headset for home use, I've used that for well over a year with no issue as well.

OK for the price but annoying

This is a good headset for the price, but it does have some major problems. First, I should note that I use it primarily with my cell phone, not with my cordless phone at home. When I have used it at home, I have found the sound to be fine. When using it with my cell, however, and particularly in the car, I find the volume to be too low. Even with the volume on the head set and on my cell turned all the way up, it is very difficult to hear over the sound of the car. By the way, my car is not that loud, and I have not had this problem when using other headsets. My other complaint stems from the little black sponge thing that covers the ear piece. They are FOREVER falling off in the car. Which, when you're driving, means they are lost to you until you can stop and look for them. Given their size and color, they might be lost for good. The ear piece is uncomfortable -- and the sound quality is terrible -- without the sponge cover. Bottom line: although the headset has been useful, I'm looking for another model that provides better sound quality and doesn't use those little black sponge things.
