Great for Mountain Biking |
| I know I'm not supposed to wear headphones when I'm biking for safety reasons, but I do anyway, and these headphones rock. First, the sound is great across the entire range. I happen to like a lot of bass, and these headphones deliver in all ranges. Second, the fit is great. The clever pivoting arms allow you to wear the headphones with the band on top of the head or with the band on the back of the head, right below the bottom of my helmet. (at least I'm wearing a helmet) Third, they collapse down pretty small for a decent pair of headphones, and the band is very durable. And finally, the price is fantastic. If I break these headphones you can bet I'm going to logon and buy another pair right away.... |

Koss Rocks the Head |
I keep buying headphones because they look cool but only the Koss PortaPro sound Kool. I just ordered my 3rd pair of Koss over the last 20 years. Yes these great cans have been around that long. It's not that they break they just get grungy from all the wear I put on them. I don't think grung is covered on the warranty. No they are not noise cancelling, but you can crank them up and drown out the noise with your own. I have used them on FM, cassettes, CDs and MP3s! Each time being more amazed. Now if they would just make a mini adapter and make them wireless that would make them super cool. In the less than 50 dollar market these truly Rock the head, and yes they do sound better then Bose. Oh and for comfort these are sweet.
After 10 minutes I forget I have headphones on.

Quality headphones with an excellent warranty! |
I bought the previous version of these headphones (minus the mute button) on Amazon just over three years ago. They have been my daily use headphones at work since then. I bought them on the strength of the reviews at that time and have not been disappointed.
Recently the foam earpieces and temple cushions began to disintegrate (the headphones still functioned without incident; they were just no longer comfortable to wear). I decided to put Koss's lifetime warranty to the test and sent in the headphones along with $6 to cover shipping and handling. Within two weeks I received a replacement with no hassle aside from being without headphones for that time.
Koss won a lifetime customer with this product and their customer service. |
